Hailing from Santiago, Chile, the 33-year-old Brooklyn-based tenor player was featured on the cover of the March 2021 issue of the New York City Jazz Record and has already established an international reputation for her visionary work as a bandleader. Ride the Pumpkin Patch Train

It’s the Fall harvest season so what better way to celebrate and welcome in the cooler weather than with a short ride on a vintage train to the Danbury Railway Museum’s Pumpkin Patch. Ride "The Husking Bee" Pumpkin Patch train through the historic railyard in a 1920's passenger coach, pulled by a vintage ALCo RS-1 diesel-electric locomotive (or other vintage locomotive, subject to availability) to the special pumpkin patch where each child ages 2-12 can select a free pumpkin. Everyone can enjoy some free cider & cookies. There are numerous photo ops and even a vintage tractor! Back due to its popularity last year is the “haunted caboose;” visit it if you dare! Of course, the exhibits, artifacts, and multiple operating model train layouts inside the restored over 100-year old Danbury station will be open for your education and entertainment. Out in the railyard, go inside real railroad cars and locomotives. There is a fully-stocked gift shop on the premises. The event will be held rain or shine. Reservations are recommended and can be made online at . The Danbury Railway Museum is a non-profit organization, staffed solely by volunteers, and is dedicated to the preservation of, and education about, railroad history.

Organized by the N.Y. Unit of the Herb Society of America, the 71st Herb Fair will feature a great variety of herbs and home goods for purchase. This year's program will include an Herb Table, Bake Table, and Ways and Means Table, as well as other local vendors selling soaps, teas, jams and sauces, stationary, jewelry, textiles and pottery. Page Dickey, garden author and original designer of the John Jay herb garden, will be kicking off the day with a special garden tour at 10am. Later, Deborah Needleman will discuss the art of blending herbs to make teas, and how to use herbs within your home landscape during a 2pm lecture. Several guided tours of the John Jay Herb Garden will be offered throughout the day.

The Boxtrolls
